KidZania Busan
A miniature working city inside Centum City Mall where children try real-world jobs, earn and spend Kidzo, and move through small-group role-play stations
Game development, boat steering, cabin-crew training, broadcasting, cooking, driving, emergency services, science and other small-group career role-play
A multi-floor indoor miniature city inside Shinsegae Centum City Mall, divided into small job-experience rooms, studios, transport facilities, shops and service counters
Kidzo is what holds the miniature city together: jobs affect what children can spend next, while small room capacities make choosing and waiting part of the experience
Every job connects to Kidzo
Each activity sits inside KidZania's own currency system. Children earn or spend Kidzo as they move through the miniature city, so a completed job can change what becomes possible next. Driving, cooking or product-making experiences may require spending currency earned elsewhere
Kidzo can also be saved. A child can finish a paying job, deposit part of the earnings at the bank, then use the rest later on another activity or purchase. The current park map still includes a department store and KZ Mart, so the reward is not only virtual. Stock changes, but documented Busan purchases have included notebooks and other stationery as well as toys such as tabletop soccer games and model kits
Most jobs run in small groups and last roughly 20 to 30 minutes. Money, room capacity and waiting time therefore shape the day together
Maritime and digital jobs give the Busan branch its own emphasis
At the Game Development Center, children build a mobile block-puzzle game, program character actions, choose backgrounds and interface elements, then receive the finished game through a QR code. The activity also pays Kidzo
At the Boat Steering School, children learn basic marine-safety rules, choose a route and steer a leisure boat through a 3D simulator. The Cabin Crew Training Center is similarly task-based: children practice an emergency-evacuation procedure rather than simply wearing the uniform
Those jobs give the Busan branch a clear maritime, transport and digital thread, with each example built around an action or output
Small rooms make priorities matter
Around forty job experiences are spread across several floors of Shinsegae Centum City Mall, and many rooms take only four to nine children at a time
A few priority jobs can anchor the visit while shorter queues fill the gaps between them. Because each session occupies a small group for roughly 20 to 30 minutes, a full room can affect the next half hour as well as the activity itself
The KidZania app shows maps, ticketing information and waiting times, making it easier to see when a preferred room has filled and what is available nearby
Before you go
Activities are conducted in Korean, so children who can follow spoken instructions will get more from the job stations. Small room capacities also make a short, flexible list of preferred roles more useful than trying to cover the full activity catalog in one visit
