Masan Robot Land
A robot-themed family amusement park in coastal Changwon combining thrill rides, children’s zones and 11 hands-on robot exhibition halls
Robot technology, family amusement rides, industrial and AI demonstrations, marine and aerospace exhibits, children’s science experiences and full-day theme-park visits
A large outdoor theme park divided into four amusement zones with 11 indoor robot experience halls, restaurants and family facilities; the wider Robotland development also includes research and convention buildings
Its distinction comes from the machines between the rides: industrial, AI, aerial and marine robots give the theme enough physical substance to survive beyond the amusement-park branding
Robots do specific jobs here
A robot arm demonstrates precision assembly, an AI robot holds simple conversations, drones perform coordinated movement and the marine hall puts visitors into a submarine-themed experience where they control a fish-shaped robot. Masan Robot Land places these working examples inside the same day as roller coasters and children’s rides
The park has 11 robot experience halls. Manufacturing, artificial intelligence, aerospace and marine robotics become separate subjects, letting children encounter the technology through several different applications
Some exhibits make an industrial process visible. Others turn a technical field into an activity: the marine section connects underwater work with resource exploration, cable installation and disaster response, while AI exhibits focus on conversation and interaction
Four zones split the amusement side by age and intensity
Adventure and Future zones concentrate more of the thrill-oriented rides. Named attractions include Sky Tower, Rotating Gear and Wave Journey, while Dream and Robotopia are built around younger children and family use with rides such as Children’s Tower and Tea Party. That division matters in a mixed-age group because the park can support a ride-heavy day without requiring every visitor to follow the same sequence
The robot halls interrupt that amusement rhythm with indoor experiences. A family can move from a ride to a technology exhibit, then back outside, which makes the park less dependent on one continuous queue of mechanical attractions
The site also includes broad family infrastructure: food outlets, stroller and wheelchair rental, nursing facilities and free parking. Several facilities and rides have their own operating or safety restrictions, so the full-day pass does not mean every activity on site is included
The theme park belongs to a larger robot project
Robot Land opened on 7 September 2019 after a long public-private development process. The wider Gyeongnam Robotland project also includes a robot research center and convention center built into the same development
That larger setting helps explain the unusually technical exhibition program. The public-facing park can show manufacturing robots, AI interaction and underwater applications while the broader site was conceived around research, industry support and events
For a visitor, the distinction is simple: the rides provide the scale of a regional theme park, while the robot halls give the name “Robot Land” concrete content
Before you go
The park is large enough for a full-day family visit, and the four-zone layout makes it useful to decide early whether the day is primarily ride-focused, child-focused or split between rides and robot halls
The indoor robot experiences are especially useful between outdoor rides or when different ages in the same group want different levels of intensity
- Hours
- Standard operating time is 10:00–18:00. The theme park is regularly closed Mondays except public holidays; seasonal and event schedules can extend operating hours
- Admission
- All-day passes are 38,000 won for adults, 34,000 won for teenagers and 30,000 won for children. Children under 36 months enter free with age verification. Some paid experiences and coin-operated facilities are excluded
- Access
- Accessible parking, step-free entrance access, elevators and accessible toilets are available. Wheelchairs and strollers can be borrowed, and a nursing room is provided
- Transit
- From Masan Station, buses 64, 64-1 and 65 serve Robot Land; routes 64-1 and 65 also run via Changwon Station
