South Korea has approved Epeo Auto-Injector, the country’s first domestically developed GLP-1 obesity treatment, with launch expected as early as late October. The once-weekly injection is approved for adults with obesity or qualifying overweight status alongside diet and exercise, and comes in five strengths from 2 mg to 10 mg.
Its projected monthly price in the 100,000-won range could ease treatment costs, although the final launch price and market response remain to be confirmed.
