SK hynix has stopped reviewing a pre-IPO investment and a US initial public offering for its subsidiary Solidigm, citing capital-market conditions and greater uncertainty in financial markets. The company said Solidigm had been considering funding options to expand production capacity and strengthen competitiveness, while Nikkei Asia reported the decision followed concerns about volatile markets and duplicate-listing restrictions.

Solidigm was created after SK hynix acquired Intelโ€™s NAND memory business for about $9 billion five years ago, making the shelved transaction a plan involving a major overseas subsidiary.
