Eco Land Theme Park is organized around a 4.5-kilometre railway through Gyorae Gotjawal. The trains carry visitors between themed stops, with each section adding its own walking areas, gardens, lake views or family attractions

Visitors can get off at an intermediate station, spend time there and board a later train, so a ride through the forest keeps breaking into short walks

The trains themselves are part of the attraction. VISITKOREA describes the current fleet as seven “Lincoln Train” sets, handmade in the United Kingdom and styled after Baldwin steam locomotives. They give the park a deliberately old-fashioned railway appearance even though the line was built as a modern leisure attraction

The experience

At Eco Bridge Station, passengers step off beside a broad lake and an over-water deck. Lakeside opens onto pasture and windmills; Forest Park shifts into a Gotjawal trail and a barefoot path. With trains normally arriving every seven to ten minutes, visitors can stay in one area before continuing

The sequence is one-way. Official guidance says visitors may leave the train at intermediate stations and later reboard, but once they reach the final terminus they cannot board again. The trains still set the order of the visit, but the amount of time spent at each stop remains flexible

Much of the landscape sits within Gyorae Gotjawal, one of Jeju’s lava-formed forest environments. Eco Land overlays that forest setting with planted gardens, bridges, lawns and family attractions, so the visit moves repeatedly between existing woodland and deliberately built leisure spaces

History

When Eco Land opened in November 2010, it used a 4.5-kilometre railway through the forest and five British-made train sets modeled on nineteenth-century Baldwin locomotives

The opening concept already depended on stations rather than a single central attraction. Visitors rode between separate areas and got off to walk, making the railway the framework that joined otherwise dispersed features across the grounds

The fleet later expanded. Current VISITKOREA material lists seven British-made Lincoln Train sets, while the original 2010 reporting described five. The park has also added and renamed visitor areas over time, but the basic train-stop-walk pattern remains the structure of the visit

Before you go

The final train departure is more important than the park’s nominal closing time because tickets stop being sold shortly beforehand and departure times vary by season. The train circuit also involves walking after disembarking, so the visit is not a continuous seated ride
