Lotte World Adventure Busan occupies one large parcel inside OSIRIA, a 3.66-million-square-metre tourism district assembled on Busan's eastern edge. The theme park opened in 2022 after retail, rail and resort projects had already begun turning the area into a new visitor district

OSIRIA was planned at district scale. Lotte Mall opened in 2014, Osiria Station followed in 2016, and the Ananti Cove resort complex opened in 2017. Lotte World added the largest single family-leisure component five years later, with a 158,000-square-metre first phase built around rides, parades and themed zones

Today, a railway station, theme park, shopping complex, hotels and coastal leisure facilities share the development area. Each keeps its own entrance, ticketing and operating schedule

The experience

Lotte World Adventure Busan is the most self-contained part of OSIRIA. Its themed areas concentrate rides, family attractions, performances and food inside a ticketed park, giving the wider district a destination that can fill most of a day on its own

Outside the gates, OSIRIA spreads out. Large roads and separate development parcels connect the station, retail, hotels and other attractions. The scale is closer to a planned resort district than a compact entertainment street, so distances between major components matter

Osiria Station opened before the theme park and tied the district into the Donghae Line. The rail connection serves the development as a whole, including attractions spread well beyond easy walking distance from one another

History

Busan began the East Busan tourism-development project in 2000 as part of the South Coast Tourism Belt. The tourism complex was formally designated in 2005, covering roughly 3.66 million square metres of Gijang. The name OSIRIA was later formed from nearby Yonggungsa and Sirangdae with the suffix '-ia'

Development arrived in separate stages across more than a decade. Lotte Mall opened in December 2014, Osiria Station in April 2016 and Ananti Cove in July 2017. Those projects established shopping, transport and resort accommodation before the district gained a large theme park

Lotte World Adventure Busan opened on 31 March 2022. The 158,000-square-metre Adventure Kingdom was described as the first phase of the OSIRIA theme-park project and added a large family-leisure anchor to a district already established around shopping, rail and resort accommodation

Daily park hours vary by date and are published on Lotte World's official calendar. Osiria Station is the rail gateway for the district, with local road transport connecting the station and the larger attraction parcels
