Character
Snoopy Garden combines indoor Peanuts exhibits with a much larger outdoor landscape in Songdang-ri. Character scenes, paths and planted spaces extend the comic beyond display rooms, so much of the visit is spent moving through physical settings built around the Peanuts world
The indoor Garden House establishes the characters and their relationships before the grounds open into outdoor scenes. Outside, Snoopy, Charlie Brown and other Peanuts figures appear among lawns, paths, trees and purpose-built settings rather than against a continuous museum backdrop
That change of scale is the garden’s clearest distinction. A comic strip normally compresses a situation into a small panel; here, similar visual cues are spread across paths and landscape, requiring the visitor to move between them
The experience
A typical visit moves from the indoor material into the outdoor garden and takes around two hours according to the operator. The outdoor portion is substantial enough that weather and walking matter more than they would in a conventional character exhibition
Outside, the premise becomes literal across 11 garden zones. Charlie Brown gets a baseball field with bleachers; Linus gets a forest built around his blanket; Woodstock’s Big Nest is reached by a raised walkway through the trees before ending at an oversized nest
Those scenes occupy real ground rather than one exhibition room, so the visitor crosses lawn, forest and paths between references to the comic. The walk itself becomes part of how the Peanuts world is read
History
Snoopy Garden opened in Jeju in July 2020 as Korea’s first Snoopy-themed nature-experience garden. Contemporary opening coverage described a site of roughly 82,500 square metres combining an indoor facility with a much larger outdoor garden
The project was developed with Peanuts Worldwide, the company that manages the characters created by Charles M. Schulz
The outdoor garden was part of the opening concept, not a later expansion. Its baseball field, blanket forest and other Peanuts scenes were designed as places to walk through, which is what separates the Jeju site from a compact exhibition or shop
Before you go
Most of the visit is outdoors after the Garden House, so seasonal weather affects the practical value of the full ticket. Pet entry is currently limited to Wednesdays and follows separate garden rules
