Archaeologists in Chungju have uncovered a large wooden water reservoir dating back about 1,600 years to the Baekje period. The structure is being described as the largest known example of its kind from the Hanseong-era Baekje period. The discovery provides unusual physical evidence of how water was stored and managed and could add to understanding of everyday infrastructure in ancient Baekje settlements.
