Actor Choi Bool-am, widely known for his roles in MBC's long-running Chief Inspector and Country Diaries, died at a Seoul hospital on October 29 at age 87. Born in 1939, he began acting in the 1959 stage production Hamlet and later worked as a television host and social activist.

After leaving his 14-year run hosting KBS 1TV's The Korean Table following back surgery and reduced mobility, he focused on rehabilitation before his health recently worsened.
