Actor Choi Bool-am, widely remembered as a national father figure, has died at the age of 87 and was laid to rest after a funeral Mass at Yeouido Cathedral in Seoul led by Cardinal Yeom Soo-jung. Family members, fellow actors and members of the public joined the farewell, while colleagues remembered the warmth and hope he brought through his work.
Before the funeral procession continued to the burial site, it stopped at the Green Umbrella Childrenโs Foundation in accordance with his wishes. Choi supported the foundation for more than four decades and helped children at home and abroad, leaving a public legacy that extended beyond his acting career.
