Korea’s financial regulators are preparing to expand MyData services to sole proprietors and other individual business owners, while adding AI agents that can act on users’ financial information with consent. The Financial Services Commission said the proposed My AI Agent ecosystem could help consumers exercise practical rights, including asking lenders for lower interest rates and applying for policy funding.

MyData has so far focused heavily on collecting and displaying information. The new direction is meant to turn that information into actions that can save time or money. The key implementation issue will be how consent, data access and responsibility are handled when an AI tool acts for the user.
