Seoul apartment sale prices rose 0.20 percent in the first week of September, extending their advance to 83 consecutive weeks, according to Korea Real Estate Board data cited by Korean media. The three Gangnam districts moved the other way: Gangnam fell 0.35 percent, Seocho 0.30 percent and Songpa 0.02 percent, while gains continued in northern and western districts.

The split suggests the citywide rally is being sustained increasingly outside the premium southern districts as buyers respond to lending and tax changes.
