SME exports from Daegu and North Gyeongsang rose 38.5% from a year earlier in August to about $1.008 billion, the fastest growth among Korea's eight major regions. National SME exports also increased for a sixth straight month. The regional gain was led by North Gyeongsang, up 43.2%, and Daegu, up 29.3%, even as SMEs' share of total exports fell because large-company semiconductor shipments grew faster.
