The KOSPI fell 215.27 points, or 3.73%, to close at 5,552.74 on October 20, giving back the previous two sessionsโ€™ combined gains and then declining further. The KOSDAQ also dropped 3.33% to 781.97, while individual investorsโ€™ heavy buying failed to absorb selling by foreign and institutional investors. The sell-off came a day after President Lee Jae-myung said that measures to normalize the domestic stock market would be taken soon.
