ENHYPEN has reached the top of the Billboard 200 for the first time, giving the group a new career peak six years after its debut. Billboard’s advance chart report says the group’s eighth mini album, THE SIN : BLISS, will enter the September 5-dated chart at No. 1.
The album recorded 98,000 album-equivalent units during the tracking period. Traditional album sales accounted for 92,000 of that total, while streaming-equivalent albums contributed 6,000. The result improves on ENHYPEN’s previous best of No. 2, achieved by both ROMANCE : UNTOLD and THE SIN : VANISH.
The timing makes the milestone more significant for the group. THE SIN : BLISS is ENHYPEN’s first release after its reorganization as six members following Heeseung’s departure earlier this year. The group has also been balancing the album cycle with a world tour that began in May.
The No. 1 is a clear measure of ENHYPEN’s US album-market strength, although the sales-heavy unit mix also shows how important the group’s physical-album fan base remains. The next chart weeks will show how much of the debut converts into sustained streaming and broader consumption as touring continues.
