BTS won three prizes at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, taking Song of the Year, Best K-Pop and Best Group. The group won Song of the Year and Best K-Pop for "SWIM" and also collected the group award.
The Song of the Year victory makes BTS the first K-pop group to win that category, according to the awards coverage. Best Group was another familiar result for BTS, which previously won the prize four consecutive times from 2019 through 2022.
BTS won every category in which the group was nominated this year. Through BIGHIT MUSIC, the members thanked ARMY and described the awards as especially meaningful in connection with their album "ARIRANG," which they called a new beginning.
The three-award sweep gives BTS another major international awards result as the seven-member group resumes collective music and performance activity.
