GTX-C has cleared a private-investment review after its project economics were revised to reflect higher construction costs. Three Korean regional outlets reported the approval as a key procedural step for the 수도권 express rail project. The decision does not by itself mean construction has started, but it removes one of the financial and administrative obstacles that had delayed progress.
For commuters along the planned corridor, the practical question is now whether the revised terms translate into a firm construction timetable. Authorities and project partners are expected to move through the remaining steps with an aim of beginning work later this year.
