Starting October 29, Korean resident registration certificates will stop displaying relationship labels such as 'spouse's child' for members of a household. Under the revised enforcement decree, the householder's spouse remains identified as such, while other family members are generally listed as household members.

The change is intended to reduce the unintentional disclosure of sensitive family relationships when official certificates are submitted to schools or other organizations. The administrative change affects how household ties appear on the document, not the underlying legal family relationships.
