The Korea Forest Service forecasts that peak autumn foliage across South Korea will arrive around October 31, later than in recent years. The date is about 0.8 days later than the recent five-year average and roughly four to five days later than it was a decade ago.

Seoraksan is expected to reach its peak around October 20 and Naejangsan around November 4, while research cited in the report found that each 1°C rise in average autumn temperature delays foliage by about 1.5 days.
