The shark known as Bukang was found swimming near Busanโs International Passenger Terminal on October 24, about 2 kilometers from the Busan Port Pier 1 area where it was last seen. The National Institute of Fisheries Science said Bukang had left the North Port waterfront parkโs artificial channel after guidance work on October 22, then disappeared from view for a time.
Officials observed no health problems and said the shark appeared to be adapting to a wider environment after spending more than a month in the narrow channel.
