aT Center
A Yangjae exhibition and convention center whose Agro + Trade identity links trade-show space directly to Korea's agro-food export and buyer-support system
Scheduled exhibitions, agro-food and export events, business meetings, trade fairs and visitors attending a specific conference rather than sightseeing
A professional convention building beside Yangjae Citizen's Forest Station, with large exhibition floors, meeting rooms and business facilities used for trade fairs, conferences and public expos
aT Center matters as a piece of trade machinery: its strongest events use exhibition halls, buyer meetings and export support as connected stages of the same market-building process
Character
The name aT Center is a job description: Agro plus Trade. The building was developed as an exhibition and convention base for expanding agro-fisheries exports, including international expos, buyer invitation and overseas marketing
That institutional purpose makes the center more specific than its generic exhibition-hall appearance suggests. Exhibition floors, meeting rooms and export-trader offices sit inside the same Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation system, so an event can move from product display to buyer consultation without leaving the organization built to support that trade
The experience
Most visitors will come for a scheduled fair, conference or business meeting rather than for the architecture alone. The main exhibition spaces are flexible enough for many subjects, but agro-food trade remains visible in the center's identity, tenants and recurring events
The first exhibition hall alone can be divided into large sections and is equipped for professional trade-show use. Conference rooms and business support spaces extend that function upward from display toward negotiation. For public consumer fairs, the same infrastructure feels like a conventional expo venue; for export events, the original institutional logic becomes much clearer
The practical advantage is location. Yangjae Citizen's Forest Station on the Sinbundang Line places the building immediately beside mass transit, making it unusually straightforward for a business venue in southern Seoul. Once inside, use the event's own hall and registration information rather than treating the entire building as one public attraction
History
aT Center belongs to a longer shift in Korea's agricultural policy from domestic distribution toward active export promotion. The operating corporation expanded its export-support role over time, and the center translated that work into physical space
Its own corporate identity page is unusually explicit: the name combines "Agro" and "Trade" and was developed for a show and convention facility intended to expand exports through international exhibitions, buyer invitations and overseas publicity. That makes branding evidence here more useful than a decorative logo history; it states what the building was for
In 2024, Buy Korean Food+ brought more than 140 foreign companies from 36 countries together with over 270 Korean producers and food businesses at aT Center for buyer meetings and export consultation
Before you go
Check the organizer's event page before visiting. aT Center has no single admission rule or universal public opening schedule because exhibitions, conferences and business meetings operate independently
