Character
Cheongpung Land sits directly above Cheongpungho, where a 62-metre bungee tower, big swing and lake-crossing zipline turn the reservoir edge into an extreme-sports platform
The bungee tower is the site’s defining structure. The drop is 62 metres, with the water and mountain shoreline directly below throughout the descent. The same tower complex was planned to carry several high-intensity attractions in one footprint, including Korea’s first ejection-seat ride
The big swing shifts the motion from vertical drop to a wide arc over the lakeside. The current zipline runs about 700 metres one way across the water, extending the experience horizontally beyond the tower area
The experience
The bungee jump uses height and open water below; the big swing accelerates riders out over the lakeside; the zipline carries them away from the main platform across Cheongpungho
The complex is small enough that these rides remain visually connected. Visitors waiting at ground level can see the tower, swing structure and lake together; the three major activities read as one engineered adventure platform
Weather matters operationally. Strong wind, heavy rain or thunderstorms can stop individual activities, and the operator warns that closing times can shift with local conditions. Same-day online booking is not available, so walk-up use depends on the remaining time slots
History
Cheongpung Land opened in 2002 as part of Jecheon’s effort to build active leisure around the Cheongpungho tourism zone. Its original identity centered on a multi-tower concept designed to place several extreme-sports systems on one structure
The 62-metre bungee jump became the landmark attraction, while the ejection seat introduced a reverse-bungee mechanism capable of launching riders rapidly upward. Later additions expanded the site beyond the tower, including the lake-crossing cable course that developed into today’s zipline operation
The mix has changed over time, but the basic idea has stayed consistent: use the steep reservoir edge and open water to amplify height and distance
Before you go
Activity restrictions are material here. The operator excludes some riders for age or health reasons, prohibits alcohol use, and may suspend rides in strong wind. Clothing also matters: skirts and slippers are not accepted for riding, with substitute clothing or sandals provided on site

- Current operator hours are 09:30–17:00 with a 12:00–13:00 lunch break on weekdays; weekends and public holidays operate without the lunch closure. Operations can end early in bad weather or when capacity fills
- Admission
- Current listed prices are ₩60,000 for bungee jumping, ₩25,000 for the big swing and ₩40,000 for the zipline; online booking discounts may differ
- Access
- Same-day use is sold on site rather than through online reservation. Riders aged 65 or older, intoxicated visitors, pregnant visitors and people with specified cardiovascular, spinal or ligament conditions are restricted from activities
- Transit
- From Jecheon Station, city buses 950, 952, 953, 960, 961, 970, 971, 980 or 982 serve the Cheongpung Land stop in about 50 minutes
