South Korea’s interior ministry has announced the first senior appointments for the new Serious Crimes Investigation Agency ahead of its launch. Jeon Jong-min was named deputy chief, while Choi Jae-min, Lim Eun-jung, Kim Hyung-geun and Moon Hong-ju were appointed to lead the Seoul, Gwangju, Suwon and Daejeon regional offices. The appointments establish much of the agency’s initial command structure as operations begin.
