South Korea’s Supreme Court will question Kim Keon-hee on October 27 over whether she should remain in custody after her current detention period expires. The hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m., four days before the existing custody term ends on October 31, after special counsel prosecutors requested an additional detention warrant on October 15.

Kim has been detained in connection with allegations involving the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation case, Myung Tae-kyun opinion polling and money allegedly received from the Unification Church. The Supreme Court’s decision will determine whether she remains detained while the case is pending or is released when the current term ends.
