A fire broke out aboard a roughly 7,000-ton oil-product tanker north of Jawoldo in Incheon late Aug. 27. Two Korean crew members were found in cardiac arrest and were later reported dead, while the other 16 people aboard were rescued. Coast Guard and fire crews deployed vessels to the scene and are investigating the cause.
