Suwon Deoksan Hospital has been newly designated a regional emergency medical center for three years, adding emergency capacity for western Suwon and southwestern Gyeonggi. The designation will run from November 1, 2026 through October 31, 2029.
The hospital says emergency-medicine specialists are available around the clock. Its emergency facilities include rapid diagnostic equipment, isolation and negative-pressure rooms and pediatric emergency beds, giving it infrastructure for a range of urgent cases.
What changes for local services
Regional emergency-center status matters because emergency care depends on specialist staffing, diagnostics and appropriate spaces being available continuously. From November 1, the hospital will carry that role for the full three-year designation period as part of the area's emergency response capacity.
