A serving police officer in Gyeonggi Province has been arrested on suspicion of providing personal information from an internal police system to outsiders in exchange for money. Police said an internal audit uncovered the suspected misconduct and the officer was arrested on September 11. A court issued an arrest warrant two days later, citing concerns including possible flight and destruction of evidence.
