A serving police officer has been indicted without detention on charges of leaking investigative secrets to the head of a major Telegram drug distribution network. Prosecutors allege the officer received information about a rival drug group in return and used it to build his own investigative record.
The joint government drug-crime investigation team charged him with offenses including disclosure of official secrets, aiding a criminal organization and bribery; a court earlier rejected an arrest warrant.
