From October 29, ordinary resident-registration certificates will no longer label a child in a remarried household as 'spouse's child.' Under the revised rule, relationships to the head of household will generally be shown as 'household member,' while the spouse designation remains. The practical effect is that the document will no longer disclose a remarriage relationship through that child label.
