LS Cable & System will invest KRW 150 billion in Korea Motion Works to establish a large-scale rare-earth permanent magnet production base in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province. The facility is intended to supply magnets for electric vehicles, robots and defense equipment, expanding the company’s role in strategic materials. The investment marks a move toward a domestic supply chain for rare-earth permanent magnets amid global supply chain realignment.
