Police in South Korea are investigating allegations that CCTV footage from hospitals, much of it reportedly from obstetrics and gynecology facilities, was leaked to overseas pornographic websites. The National Police Agency received a referral on September 29 from lawmaker Heo Jong-sik and assigned the case to the Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency to examine how the footage may have been exposed.
The footage is believed to have been recorded mainly by internet-protocol cameras, but the alleged leak has not been established as fact.
