A new minimum-guarantee system for victims of rental deposit fraud will begin on November 13. If court distribution payments and LH auction gains together amount to less than one-third of the original deposit, the government will cover the shortfall. The measure follows an amendment to the enforcement decree of the Special Act on Rental Deposit Fraud, which passed the Cabinet on October 6.
