In 2025, 48,981 children were born through the national infertility treatment support program, accounting for 19.2% of all births. That share rose from 11% in 2023 as the program stopped applying an income threshold and made 25 treatment cycles available for each birth.
The support cycle is therefore restored when a child is born, rather than remaining tied to a householdโs previous use. From late November, the period of paid leave available for infertility treatment will also expand, making eligibility and reimbursement procedures important for applicants.
