More than a year after major wildfires in North Gyeongsang Province, 1,898 households were still living in prefabricated temporary homes at the end of August. Data submitted to a lawmaker identify affected communities in Andong, Uiseong, Cheongsong, Yeongyang and Yeongdeok.
Of those households, 1,054 had no recorded relocation plan, with financial and land-related problems among the suspected obstacles. The figures show how rebuilding permanent homes has lagged far behind the initial disaster response.
