Nearly half of the households headed by children living in Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) jeonse rental homes have failed to pay monthly rent for at least three months, placing them at risk of losing their renewals. The finding came from an analysis by Democratic Party lawmaker Hwang Hee of LH data on overdue payments by year and household type, based on figures through August.
Hwang said tailored measures are urgently needed to prevent housing loss among vulnerable households.
