A home-care case published on the National Health Insurance Service long-term care portal involved a bedridden first-grade beneficiary who remained at home instead of entering a nursing facility. A care worker visited for three hours each day, while a vehicle-based bathing service was provided on weekends, bringing the monthly service cost to about 2.06 million won. The first-grade monthly home-care limit is 2.5129 million won this year, up by more than 200,000 won from last year, while the second-grade limit is about 2.33 million won.
These limits are not cash payments deposited into a beneficiaryโs account but ceilings applied to eligible home-care services, with third- and fourth-grade limits at about 1.5 million and 1.4 million won.
