South Korean police referred eight people to prosecutors over alleged prostitution operations in Seoul's Gangnam district, where investigators said 33 rented rooms were used as venues. One of the two businesses allegedly arranged more than 2,800 meetings over 44 days and earned at least 574 million won, while the scale of the second operation remains under review after evidence was allegedly destroyed.
Police said the investigation began with a report filed in November 2025 and will continue to determine whether others were involved.
