The US Marine Corps conducted its first multidomain reconnaissance exercise on the Korean Peninsula with South Korean military and police special forces. The training linked land, sea, air, space and cyber domains, and included ship boarding, weapons practice and small-unit combat drills. Marine reconnaissance personnel worked with South Korea’s 707th Special Mission Group and police tactical teams, while a joint exercise with Marine special reconnaissance forces is planned for early November.

The exercise is associated with the US military’s multidomain task force concept, but no deployment of such a unit to the peninsula has been confirmed.
