Jeonbuk’s blood inventory stood at 5.2 days on November 4, only slightly above the five-day adequacy threshold, while blood types A and B remained below that line at 3.9 and 4.7 days. The regional blood center said it was restricting shipments because it could not meet all hospital requests, allowing the overall figure to remain nominally adequate.

Donations in the region fell 3.1% year on year to 87,446 during January through October, with participation among people in their 20s also declining. The center expects supply pressure to increase during winter and is asking residents to donate regularly.
