Airport Railroad labor talks remain deadlocked over pay, promotion rules and staffing, with the union planning its first strike since the railway opened in 2007 on the 13th. The union says 6th-grade base pay is lower than at comparable operators and is seeking 22 additional workers for train operations and rolling-stock inspection.

The company has reportedly proposed resolving wages within a 4.9% annual increase and introducing promotion after seven years for 6th-grade staff. Essential-service staffing is expected to keep trains running at 69.2% of the normal weekday level, so passengers should expect reduced service and inconvenience.
