Seoul Eunpyeong Police have sought an arrest warrant for a man in his 60s accused of killing his former partner, a woman in her 70s, about two weeks after his electronic ankle monitor ended. Police found the victim dead and the suspect unconscious at his residence after her family reported her missing, and the suspect later admitted the killing followed an argument.
The woman had repeatedly reported stalking, while the suspect had previously faced allegations of violating a no-contact order and choking her. Investigators are examining the motive, the suspectโs movements, and whether earlier victim-protection measures were adequate.
