A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of killing a former partner in Seoul, two weeks after his electronic ankle monitor was removed. Police found the woman, in her 70s, dead inside the man’s home in Eunpyeong-gu on November 5 after receiving a missing-person report at 6:40 a.m.; a court issued a warrant on November 7, citing flight risk.
The report does not establish whether the killing was connected to the end of electronic monitoring, and the suspect did not answer reporters’ questions when he appeared for the warrant hearing.
