The 46th National Para Games opened in Jeju on September 11, the first time the island has hosted South Korea's largest domestic para-sports festival. A total of 9,141 athletes and officials are taking part across 31 sports through September 16.
Organizers expanded opportunities for new, female and athletes with severe disabilities while Jeju upgraded transport and accessibility around competition venues. The event also serves as a major domestic tune-up before next month's Asian Para Games.
