KBO clubs completed the 2027 rookie draft with 110 players selected across 11 rounds. Pitchers dominated the class, accounting for 62 picks, followed by 28 infielders, 11 catchers and nine outfielders.
Kiwoom Heroes used the first overall selection on Busan High School pitcher Ha Hyeon-seung. Samsung Lions selected Gwangju Jinheung High School pitcher Kim Min-hun in the first round, while six players from Daegu high schools were chosen across the draft.
The draft determines the first professional destination for the selected amateur players, but it does not guarantee immediate first-team roles. Development assignments, contract terms and spring-camp performance will shape how quickly each player reaches the senior roster.
For clubs, the value of the draft will only become clear over several seasons. The immediate result is a completed 110-player intake with pitchers making up more than half of the selections.
