KT Wiz secured the 2026 KBO regular-season title with a 9-0 win over the Lotte Giants in Suwon, extending its winning streak to six games. The result gave KT an 86-49-5 record and made the championship unreachable for second-place Samsung, which lost 7-5 to Doosan and fell 4.5 games behind with four KT games remaining.
KT last won the regular season in 2021, when it also captured the Korean Series, and now advances directly to the 2026 Korean Series with a chance to pursue a second overall title.
