LG’s postseason ended after four games as KIA defeated the defending champions 13-1 in Game 3 of the Korean Series quarterfinals on October 20. The loss completed a 0-3 series sweep and marked LG’s elimination, after the club had beaten Doosan 4-1 in the wild-card round. Because LG was the home team, the game also became the final professional baseball match played at Seoul’s Jamsil Stadium.
