South Korea’s Ban Hyo-jin won the women’s 10-meter air rifle title at the world championships, securing her second consecutive championship and a quota place for the Los Angeles Olympics. Ban entered the final after topping qualifying but trailed China’s Han Jiayu by 1.1 points after the first 10 shots, before tying the score on the 18th shot and taking a 0.1-point lead on the 20th.
She then hit a 10.9 and extended the advantage over the final shots to complete the comeback victory.
