Gachon University has begun its AX-GACHON program, an effort to extend artificial-intelligence education across every college and major rather than concentrating it in computing disciplines. The university plans AI and AX bridge courses designed for different fields, supported by faculty assigned to the initiative.
The program also emphasizes practical work. Gachon says it will expand industry-linked projects so students can apply AI tools within the context of their own disciplines, connecting technical capability with subject expertise beyond engineering.
What the rollout will test
AX-GACHON follows the university's selection for the national AI-centered university initiative. Gachon is also pursuing a new Artificial Intelligence Systems department for 2027. The key measure will be how deeply AI coursework and practical projects are integrated into nontechnical majors.
