LG Group and Microsoft are expanding cooperation around AI data centers after senior executives met at Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond. LG said the discussions covered cooling, power and IT infrastructure that could be used in Microsoft's global data-center buildout.

LG chairman Koo Kwang-mo joined executives from LG Electronics, LG Uplus, LG CNS and LG Sciencepark for the meeting with Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella.

The partnership connects several LG businesses to the same infrastructure market. LG Electronics supplies cooling systems, while other group companies provide power, network and IT services that can be combined in large data-center projects.

The next step is whether the strategic agreement produces specific supply contracts or joint projects. That would show how much of LG's AI-infrastructure strategy converts into commercial deployment.
