The number of detected attempts to breach South Korea’s court computer network reached 239,145 from January through August, according to data submitted by the Supreme Court Administration. The figure is about 1.7 times the 141,528 attempts recorded during all of last year and about 2.4 times the 101,205 attempts reported during the same period last year.
The detections indicate a sharp rise in attempts targeting the network, but they do not by themselves establish that an intrusion or data leak occurred.
